BOINC Developers Edition

BOINC Developers Edition proposal.
EVEN MORE VANDALIZATION
The following page(s) show a plan I have been toying with for the past couple of weeks. It would be a completely new Wiki for everything BOINC, one accessible by all projects and all users. The old Wiki is just about unusable, while all information about BOINC and projects is now spread out over a variety of different places. My plan is to put it all together, easily found by new&old users and people trying to set up a project.
The plan is to make a new BOINC Wiki from the ground up, do away with the old one. Then add to it these options:
BOINC Wiki
|
--------------> Developers Edition
|
-----------------> BOINC Versions
Write options:
- BOINC Wiki is open to all BOINC users who have active RAC.
- Developers Edition is open to all users until done, then pages are locked so regular users can't edit them.
- BOINC Versions is open to Alpha list group/developers.
More specific:
- The BOINC Wiki has general information about BOINC. Possible to co-work with the BOINC FAQ? The best thing would be if each project had its own sub-page(s) for their explanation on their project, their FAQs etc. Could be linked directly from the front page of each project to their own Wiki part.
- The Developers Edition has all the information on how to set up a BOINC project. Minimum/recommended hardware requirements, possible cost overview, which Linux works best.
- BOINC Versions shows each milestone and version that came out in the past and still comes out. Detailed information on what was changed between versions. Co-working with Alpha email list and/or CVS would do that.
