K. BAM! has implemented a new option as a direct result of declaring Pirates@Home as a retired project.
From BAM! forum: Time to Retire Pirates@Home

It's now possible to prevent retired projects from being detached from your hosts. Setting is on the BAM! settings page.

This, for me, is a huge improvement in BAM! and more importantly demonstrates Willy’s commitment to BOINC and every individual that runs her.
I'm confident that this issue is solved, but the only thing left is to wait for another project to be retired and see if we are still attached.

the scurvy knaves...

... gotta walk the plank!

Strangely and against my will i stopped using Willy's BAM! for now since Pirates are banished.

BAM! makes administering BOINC so much easier until it makes a decision that you don't want it to make on your behalf. Society in a microcosm.

BAM! and Pirates@Home can coexist after the initial boot from BAM! but now i don't want them to. Arr!

Dolphin is able to open Google Maps (the phone can even open Google Earth), but not the map that this app pushes.
I'm using the standard Google Maps API, which works on Chrome and Safari and Firefox. The one thing that the site does rely on is JavaScript, so perhaps the problem is that JavaScript is not enabled in Dolphin? Or for that site? Perhaps I have to add a <noscript> warning to allow JavaScript?

Javascript is available and enabled by default for all pages.
Load images is Always on.

Dolphin is available for Android an iOS. See their homepage for more info.

One different niggle: why is the quote box here squashed to only use half (or less of) the screen?

There was a reason to squash the quotes, but i forget what and it looks silly now for sure. Looks even worse in preview.

Bah. No leg lamps for me.
Not a huge shock since i've never seen any. Ever.
Oh well. Something to look forward to next year!

No rest for the wicked. Quote box fixed!

Censorship is always a very bad thing because it the opposite ideology of freedom. It's a form of repression and is often a tool that is used by the powerful to become even more powerful.
It's good to see Pirates@Home website go partially black on this day.
