I was worried that the GMT determiniation might not work, and will check it and try to fix it in another release. Please confirm that you have your timezone set correctly on the box and in your BOINC preferences, as that could cause it to get the TZ wrong.

As you suspected. My box's time zone is set correctly for Eastern US. However, the pirate preferences were set to "use local time". I changed that now to GMT and updated boinc, but screensaver still shows incorrect time. I guess the unit would have to restart to get the message.

???Confusion on deck???

Will credit be granted based on length of run, independent of whether it errored out or not? Or will all credit for a particular unit be given to the lowest claimed amount?

Ahoy, Capt'n!!

Got a scroll 5.05 this morning. Original estimate to complete 40 hrs. Now running about 20 min and down to 38 mins left. Only noticed one bug, that it shows GMT as -1 hr from EDT. (10:53 GMT shown at 11:53 EDT.)

Caught one of these while it was crunching. Enabling the graphics let it run for 20 min instead of the usual 2 before completion.

Is it helpful to have the graphics enabled during the crunching if you catch it, or does it not make a difference to the data obtained?

Aye...and a credit to the Captain's stealthiness!! Notice that they have no idea that our 4500+ members exist! Arrgh...

I found you out in the middle of the river, though I do not remember if it was off Croton or somewhere else.

Found myself! (I hadn't enabled the lastest update under My Places.)

Do you have a spare sextant to lend Google so they can calibrate themselves? If they were producing treasure maps they'd have a problem. :-)

@Bjango

I can't find myself in Croton on Hudson, NY. Have you got me in stealth mode or am I misplaced?

Thanks.

Dr. Bill I have you included in the next update. (croton on hudson, down stream of the pirates. (Wormholio can collect you on the way to sea.)

Thanks, Bjango.

I will use my position to advise the Captain of treasure moving up and down the Hudson.(Do we need a separate thread for that? :=) ) Of course, if the folks at West Point stretch that big chain across the river again, like they did during the revolution, it'll severly restict his movements downstream!
