Some are unreasonable. What do you make of the second word? ;-)

"Hur-"
ricane
;-)

Sounds like it is an isolated problem, I'll look around and see if I can solve it then (Opera, not the impossible words!).

According to all I can see, it should work. Javascript is enabled, all options on.
Anyway, it's a minor nuisance, if nobody else is having the same problem it has to be my machine.

It only works for me on the first loading of the site.
I'm using Opera in Linux, and Java is installed and working.

However, I just checked with Firefox, and here it works flawlessly. Seems to be a problem with Opera, then...

Ahoy Captain!

Can you make it so the bar where you are supposed to write the words automatically gets selected when you load the page? In Opera it doesn't, meaning total chaos when I try to write the word and it is interpreted as shortcuts in the browser!

I use the RSS news feed almost every day.
In Firefox, under the RSS news, the headlines are only called "Pirates@Home news", instead of the date of the headline. I liked it better before, it was easier to see if something new had happened.

Avast, I've got trouble at them higher levels too! Like ye, at third level it really gets dif'cult fer me.
That aside, just playing the game fer it's fun atmosphere is great - I like them drinking songs when the crew's happy!
But some day I'll get around to finishing it on them higher levels and feel like a real pirate! :-D

9) Questions and Answers : Windows : Strange message with Hello 4.54 (Message 1326)
Posted 4970 days ago by Kenneth Larsen
I've just crunched a work unit with the Hello version 4.54 and got this strange message several times (about 30 in the one minute the wu ran):
14-02-2005 19:34:19|Pirates@Home|result world_1108405958_0: memory usage 1413120.000000 exceeds limit 1000000.000000
However, the wu seems to have finished without error:
14-02-2005 19:34:20|Pirates@Home|Computation for result world_1108405958 finished

I'm using Boinc version 4.66 on Windows XP SP2. Amount of Ram is 512MB.
10) Questions and Answers : Windows : Graphics black out after a few seconds (FIXED) (Message 407)
Posted 5051 days ago by Kenneth Larsen
When looking at the graphics of the new Sextant 4.26 screensaver, after a few seconds the globe blacks out, and I can only see the text. If I close the graphics window and reopen it, the globe is back, but again only briefly. I'm running BOINC 4.13 in Windows XP SP2.
My computer is an Athlon XP3000+ with Geforce TI200 graphics card.

Edit: It seems to be fixed now with the Sextant 4.53 screensaver.
