Well done Bruno! Again I learn by simply bein' on deck.
I guess you can add the =0 value to your generator?

I'm thinking about wether to add it as standard or to add another textfield to choose from ;) The timestamp wouldn't be the only one affected, either. Hmm, perhabs a checkbox for this. I like to keep the URL as short as possible ;)

Nice new colors at the front page :)

Contact: I have an idea as to why the timestamp doesn't work here - I just add a parameter to the url, but it is not given any value (it's not needed for the image script). I'm not sure, but as it is not given any value the parameter may be dropped by the message board. Hmm. Let's try adding a value to it

[edit]Yup, any value will do.[/edit]

At the moment I change them by hand. That part of BOS is basically still the same code as when I started :D So I extract it from the messages tab in BOINC manager when I attach to a project, or kindly have them supplied by project admins. But the plan is to extract it from link or scheduler tags

I've spent the last few days checking everything was working correctly, and it seems so. This is what happened Sunday:

Around 10 am local time, the database drive stalled once again, and I shut down the system, knowing I was going to correct things later.

Around 3 pm local time, I had moved everything to my work area, and wanted to start up to test everything would work fine when attempting to do the drive switch. But now the database drive box didn't start at all - no fan, no light, nothing. The other one seemed to start as usual. I thought it might be the power supply, so I switch to the other power supply - this time the box started, but I really didn't like the sound, so I turned it off quickly. The other box didn't like the power supply from the database drive box.

So, now I had two drives that I didn't know if I could even get working. Anyway, with two drives to switch and only two drives to replace them, I could wave goodbye to my RAID plans. The only hope I had was that it was the external boxes that were failing, not the hard drives themselves. And it turned out to be just that. So after I had copied the database drive successfully, I made the sites available again while copying the other drives - before moving things back where they belong.

For those who haven't read the BOS RSS feed, the BOS message boards or the ESEA message boards, here some info:

The hard drive containing the databases has been giving trouble these last few days. It is close to give up. I have two hard drives which was planned to be used as a replacement for the boot/system drive, but this is more important right now. So this weekend I will spend some time replacing the database drive. I will try to build a RAID with these two new hard drives, but this may take some time, as it is the first RAID I've ever made. Keeping all data/programs completely intact during the process is an extra task, and may make it take a bit longer, as I don't have a third clean hard drive to save things on. But I'll do my best to do this as fast as possible. If all things go wrong I have back-ups.

So, just so you know, the BOS site and services and the ESEA site will be down for a while this weekend.
8) Message boards : Team Talk : ESEA (Earth Space Exploration Agency) needs YOU! :) (Message 3168)

ESEA (Earth Space Exploration Agency) is looking for more Agency Scientists.

It is obvious that research is abundant, and our supercomputer can't keep up with the current amount of processors. So, the Agency is looking for more staff and the processors that come with this additional staff.

Currently the supercomputer is operating in the mid 40 GFlop range, and we need at least 100 for the time being.

There are an unlimited amount of positions vacant - just plug-in your processors.

Don't know if this code has expired, but I couldn't create my test account - the code was invalid ;)

Good. (I mean, that's a part of the testing, and it seems to work.)

The new invitation code is '!grog4U'.

Yup, it worked both ways ;) Wrong code stops you, correct code let's you in :)

Do you intend to enable new account creation

Yes, but we will first be testing a new feature, so I've closed it off for a bit to build up some demand. Everybody works on this crew, even the new guys.

Okay, account creation is now enabled. But there is a twist. In order to create an account you must supply a valid invitation code.

The invitation code for today is 'grog4us'.

Let me know if there are any problems with this new feature.
